Michiganders have strong feelings about chicken places – or at least that is what a survey by SavingSpot suggests. They recently checked the favorite fast food restaurants of every state and the 50 largest cities based on google reviews. According to SavingSpot, Chick-Fil-A is the favorite fast food restaurant in Michigan overall, while the least favorite fast food place is Wing Spot. Only three other states had a chicken place as their favorite and least favorite restaurant. Kentucky shows up as a taste-bud sibling, with Chick-Fil-A as favorite and Wing Spot as least favorite as well.

Detroit made it into the 50 biggest cities, so we now know that while Detroit residents agree that Chick-Fil-A is best, they think Dominoes is the worst fast food place rather than Wing Spot. Maybe the existence of Detroit-style pizza makes the city a harsher judge of pie than the rest of the state.

SavingSpot also broke down fast food places into five categories: chicken, burgers, pizza, doughnuts, and Mexican. Michigan’s favorite burger joint is Five Guys, and the least favorite is McDonalds. The favorite pizza place is Papa Murphy’s, and least favorite is Dominoes. For Mexican food, the favorite is Moe’s Southwest Grill, with Chipotle at the bottom. When it comes to doughnuts, the Mitten State prefers Krispy Kreme. The least favorite doughnut place is Tim Hortons, but keep that a secret from our neighbors to the north.
