On Saturday, November 4th, high winds tore through the Great Lakes State, knocking out electricity and even tearing the roof off an apartment building. Consumers Energy reported over 100,000 people lost power by the end of the day. WNLS 6 News reported that the winds ripped off a section of the roof at Cedar Place Apartments in Lansing, which saw gusts up to 60 miles per hour.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Consumers Energy says there are still more than 6,000 people without power. The latest estimated time of restoration is Wednesday, November 9 at 11 p.m., over 5 days after the storm came through.
