With the holiday season right around the corner, many Michigananders are preparing their lists and ready to experience the annual time of cheer. Here are a few Christmas markets this year that the whole family can attend whether it is to buy a new tree, gifts for loved ones, or simply taking in the peaceful festivities.
First we have Detroit’s Eastern Market located at Eastern Market, 2934 Russell St. 48207, which will have seven markets for all holiday shopping needs. Starting from November 20th to December 24th Eastern Market will have a Sunday holiday market which will feature Michigan-made gift options including clothing, art, jewelry, beauty products, and more. There will also be a Tuesday market on November 22nd that is focused primarily on food vendors as well as finding everything for holiday meals as well as a Saturday market on Christmas Eve that will be open from 6 AM to 1 PM for last-minute gift shopping and holiday meal ingredients.
Starting around Thanksgiving, Eastern Market will have Christmas tree vendors at their parking lot outside of Shed 5 seven days a week.
Next, there is World Canterbury Village, located at 2357 Joslyn Ct. in Lake Orion, who will be hosting their Holiday Markets. The markets take place on multiple weekends between November 19th to December 23rd, where visitors will get to interact with local vendors with their unique items, as well as explore the various small shops in the village that include clothing and accessories, artisan jewelry, gourmet foods, Michigan made designed items, and many other items. All while enjoying refreshments at Yates Cider Mill and finding a new Christmas tree to take home.
Then there is Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, located at 25 Christmas Ln, Frankenmuth, which promotes itself as the “World’s Largest Christmas Store”. The store’s website has a virtual tour that showcases the vast number of Christmas decorations, ornaments, lights, stockings, trees, and Santa suits the store can provide for holiday enthusiasts.
